Document scanning opens outlook in parallels instead of outlook on mac (version9 updated)

Hello,

Since parallels desktop 9 got updated , my scanning software that opens up normally the native outlook in Mac OS X itself,now opens up outlook from windows in the parallels desktop instance.
I tried removing and re-installing the scanning software (brother scan center) but it remains the same issue.
It looks some fileformat or action when opening the mail , is now bound the outlook of the parallelsdesktop.
Where in parallels desktop (or Mac OS X ) can I alter this ?

Hello ktheking, You want to open .doc (.xml, .docx, .xmlx) or any other Windows compatible file, located on the Mac side using WIndows application in Windows virtual machine. Or you want to open file located on the Windows side with Mac application. In order to automate this action, we need to set appropriate file associations with Parallels Desktop SmartSelect feature. Please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/114124 to open file located on the Mac side with Windows application.
