Download to ? fix USB compatibility with 10.4.10

Would it fix my problems or just create more ? This d/l V 2.5 3214 Build 3214 supposedly fixes USB compatibility problems with MAC 10.4.10.
At the moment I can't even MOVE as the mouse freezes or is not visible. I am nervous about undoing HOURS or frustrating work to even get the printer working let alone installing vrious apps etc
 
I can't update my Parallels build 3188 to 3214 to fix the USB problems... does the new update only work for US version??
