Downloaded and retail

I downloaded the 14 day trial version for my Macbook and after considerable effort I managed to get WinXP installed, so that now everything's working fine. I then ordered the product retail. Will I be able to register my installed version using the retail key? I really would rather not uninstall what I've got going and then reinstall, update etc. Is the key on the envelope or jewel case or something?

Is there some procedure I should follow? Many thanks for any help.

You should be good to go.

Worst case scenario, reinstalling, or upgrading Parallels, has no effect on the VM you have created. It just requires Parallels tools to be reinstalled in the VM as well.

So it sounds like even if there's no code on the case I can just go ahead and reinstall Parallels from the CD, reinstall tools etc and WinXP stays put. Many thanks for your response.

That's right, reinstall Parallels, open the VM you have created and reinstall tools. Everything should then be as it was.
