Macbook Air 2011 (came with Lion) + Parallels 7
I am trying to install Lion as a guest OS and when I get to the page about downloading additional components, it says it will take 5 hours. After about 5 hours it still says that it will take 5 hours or shows an error. I have tried this a number of times. Here are my questions:
1. As Lion came on my Macbook Air, can I install Lion onto a VM or do I need to buy a new copy of Lion? i.e. is that the problem here??
2. I have seen a few posts about not letting the computer screensaver come on as that messes up the process. Is there any truth to this?
3. I have seen a few posts about turning off the internet connection while installing Lion on a VM. Is there any truth to this?
What do you suggest I do?
