I have finally managed to get this working under Parallels and Windows 10 preview. So far as dictation speed recognition it seems to work OK
If I opt for the classic toolbar it displays as a very narrow (top to bottom) toolbar cutting off the text on the lower part. Is there some setting to adjust this?

BTW one of my windows under W10 seems to be permanently gray. Any thoughts

Could you please provide us a screenshot of the menu bar that you have described above, so that we can understand that issue better and help you.
