Drive size confusion

I am totally confused when it comes to drive size. I am getting notices in XP Pro that I am almost out of disk space. What is going on here. I know that I have tons of free space but it is not being reflected in the size of my C drive. What can I do to resolve this problem?

youve extended the disk, but not the partition. as Eru says, look at the sticky at the top of the forum on how to use Diskpart in Xp.

OK, I am brand new to this forum. I keep seeing notes to see sticky, but cannot find anything about any stickies. All the answers seem to be in the stickies, but how do I get there?
