Hi I was wondering if anyone has experienced similar issues when trying to us an apple superdrive with windows 11. I have checked the drive works on an iMac that doe not run Parallels/window 11 and it's all ok. On our new iMac m3 I get a message 'Usb needs power'. I cannot load a disk I can't push it in properly has resistance. The drive is empty of cd's etc. Under windows 11 and in file explorer and this Pc:- I can see the DVD Drive d:. I need to use a Usb hub to connect my older products as there is only 'usb c' and thunderbolt ports on this new Mac. Could that be causing issues with the power? I would appreciate any guidance please.
Thank you so much. I took your advice and purchased a single Apple usb c connector and the the direct line to the computer, I was able to use my Cd/dvd rom drive. So thrilled and I appreciate your comments and suggestion, it was the solution.
