El cap and parallels slowwwww

Sine upgrading iMac to el cap and purchasing parrallels 11 I have had drama.
Everything is so slow, programmes that were working fine in previous versions will not respond.
I have reinstalled tools.

Very frustrating. I am hoping this is an
Easily fixed issue.
