El Capitan Crashes After Upgrade w/Existing VM-Workaround

If you're Macbook crashes completely after upgrading to El Capitan and trying to start your Guest OS, simply go into Parallels config for that VM, disable USB connections completely, and it should start right up. This is linked to the same issue of installing Parallels from scratch on El Capitan and some of the fixes that have been suggested for that same issue...related to USB, so disable and it should work. I hope this helps!
 
How do I do that? Two updates ago to El Capitan anytime I try to open parallels my MacBook and my Mac Mini both crash immediately. It won't open enough to get to config. I spent 4 hours on the phone with support yesterday and no one could figure anything out even with remote service. Any thoughts or suggestions? Am I the only one having this problem?
 
Disable USB on your Mac, then open Parallels and disable there. Make sure you open the App Parallels instead of a shortcut to your VM, which isn't the same and will continue to crash.

Thank you so much for the response. Pardon my ignorance, but can you tell me how to do that? I have been searching online how to disable USB and everywhere I find an option do to it is either dated, has no instructions to enable them again, or both. I started with the System Report but no help there. Thanks in advance.
