Everything works, then...

I have a brand new MacBook Pro, Dual 2.4, 2Gb ram. The company I work for has a 25 license installer for Parallels. I install Parallels (no problem), I install XP, run through the ton of upgrades to XP, everything works fine. I shut off Parallels and come back the next day (don't shut off machine) and click on the icon (both in the dock and apps folder), it bounces a bit, then settles back down ad nothing?

I have wiped out everything and re-installed it all 3 times, and still happens (if I shut down the machine or it just goes to sleep for an extended period of time - when I come back parallels simply wont launch).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

1 hard drive
No bootcamp

You should upgrade to 5584. This should help on your "newer" machine.
 
A VM is juut a computer which runs checks when it is correctly shut down and started up

Win Xp still needs fire walls - ante virus etc etc
think of your VM as a laptop and give it the same tender loving care

at last 32 GB space and about one third used
is good

nobody buys laptops with tiny hard disks
I run my VM from an external Fire Wire 800 La Ciee HD
