external hard drive (USB)

Does anyone know whether Parallels Workstation offers the possibility of using an external hard drive (USB).
Basic Information: Parallels Workstation for Windows Version 2.2, Host OS: Windows XP and Guest OS: OpenSuse 10.3.
I want to connect an USB device (the external hard drive Trekstor datastation m.u). Although Trekstor Datastation m.u is listed as Dura Micro, Inc. (Acomdata) USB device within the guest OS, I don't get any access to this hard drive. The actual file system of this hard drive is FAT32.

You could share the drive using SMB on the mac side and use it remotely on the Linux side though....
