Fail to install Parallel Tools with Parallels 11 & Windows 10

Hi,

Installed Parallels 11, Windows 7, and upgraded to Windows 10. All fine and dandy but when trying to install Parallel Tools It stops at 15% and tells me to reboot. I tried everything I could find in the KB articles on the subject (although all still only mention Parallels 10). Ran the installation manually as administrator. Nothing works.

Any suggestions?

Hi @Wilkov please try this:

1. Start your Windows PC -> click on Start and type in the "Search" box "cmd" (without quotes) and hit Enter
2. In the Command prompt window please type the following command:
sfc /scannow and hit Enter.
3. Once the system scanning finished please restart VM and reinstall Parallels Tools.

Let us know the results please
 
After 98% completion Windows reported: "Windows Resource Protection could not perform the requested operation". I shut down Windows and the VM. After restarting VM and Windows and installing Parallels Tools gave exactly the same message again at 15%. Rebooting and trying the same from the DVD running the installation as administrator did not make a difference. So no luck with this route.

In order to investigate the issue please generate the problem report (using this KB) right after the tools installation fail
 
Hello Wilkov, There is a new update for Parallels Desktop 11 for Mac and the build is 11.0.1-31277. Kindly update Parallels Desktop 11 to the latest build and reinstall Parallels Tools and check how it works. Thanks!
