I forgot my VM password, in order to rest the password though the terminal, I followed the instruction in
How to reset Windows user account password in Parallels Desktop for Mac Pro Edition? by
when I reached step 8 , by including the UUID , my username and new password,
prlctl set 3e21f02b-9d52-4ebe-a079-675dc822d723 --userpasswd parallels:123
received this error below
Failed to apply settings: The operation failed. To perform this operation, you must enter the host OS administrator's credentials.

Failed to configure the virtual machine.
