I am running Windows 10 in a Parallels VM on a MacBook Pro (16-inch, 2019). Which is the FASTEST way to copy a large amount of data from INSIDE the Windows 10 VM to an external drive? Would an external THUNDERBOLT 3 SSD drive (formatted as NTFS) be the best, i.e., fastest solution?
The Windows VM has 32 GB (while the MacBook Pro has 64 GB of physical memory). The VM also features 6 CPUs. However, there are two possible copy modes: 1. Mac Finder or another Mac app does the copying 2. Windows File Explorer or another Windows app does the copying Of course, the first copy mode is better because it is more efficient as a native process than an emulated process in the Windows VM.
