I got Linux Fedora Core 6 installed and went thru the setupo wizard. After reboot I got a command prompt style dialog asking me to log in I did. How do I gt to the Fedora GUI?

try ctrl+f7

That is not right. FC6 should show a GUI login screen by default. Did you get any X window error while you are booting up?

Try giving it more memory.

Update Fedora. (I.e., run "yum update"). This is a known bug in Fedora Core 6 that they've fixed in one of their updates.

I got this to work. Except the download fails error -11 package does not match intended download trying other mirror. It keeps repeating this and never finishes update 9/350.
