I'm running LTspice under WineBottler (a Wine based host running under macOS - mojave in this case). I also have a Windows10 VM running under Parallels. What I'm wondering about and what is disturbing a bit, that all files which are being used by the app (LTspice) running under WineBottler all have this red parallels-icon attached to the file icon. How come? They are not links pointing into the Windows FS, so I'd rather see them as tru files under the macOS FS. -- Christoph
Hi @ChristophK2 , the two red lines comes when the applications are installed inside the virtual machine . Even if you launch it from mac OS , you will be getting that Parallels icon.
The point is that the app (Winebottler) is not running under the Parallels VM. It is an app running under macOS (Mojave in this case). I don't think that Winebottler (WB) is installed in the VM. It's installed under macOS. As a side note: WB is using a drive Z: OTOH I must admit that the problem seems to be gone. (maybe due to the recent Parallels upgrade to Version 14.1.0 (45387) ?) I'll keep an eye on it. -- Christoph
