First time to use parallels and question about set up

Hello, I just bought mac yesterday and I am so used to use window so I am kinda lost in here.

so I bought mac yesterday and parallels CD to set up window on my computer.

for all say along, I was trying to get all done, but I couldnt.

so first of all, do we need vista installation CD if I want to set up vista?

I have product key from my laptop but as soon as I typed key and click nest, it says insert installation CD but

I dont know what they are talking about

Do I need to buy vista installation CD?

Can anyone please go over what parallel does and how do I need to set up and use it
