First time user - VM internet connection not working

First time user, so bear with me.

Got a Windows 2K installation up and running, problem is the internet connection will not work. Parallel Tools is up and running on it, and I can get it connected to the router but it still doesn't work (I can see it connected on my router's client list page).

Any ideas?

Can you ping an ip address from the guest? Can you ping the domain name to that ip from the guest? Just in case you don't already have one in mind, try 66.35.250.203 which is sf.net.

Are you using bridged ethernet?
