First Windows update stuck on update #76 of 100

I just installed Parallel 8 yesterday and started to installed the first batch of updates from Windows 7 Home. Initially, the 100 updates started very quickly, but it has been stuck to update #76 for an hour now. I can't tell what is this specific update since installation did not start until I shutdown Windows.

I just want to know is this normal? I do see the two little dots are moving, which I assume the installation is happening in the background.
 
Found this thread, wonder if anyone found a solution. I just installed Windows 7 and Windows did an update last night and it is stuck on update 117 out of 131. Trying to find a solution to cancel the update.
 
I have the same issue. I just installed Windows 7 Professional, and the first update is now stuck at 125 of 136...

How can I cancel out of this? I've tried closing Parallels, shutting down my Mac and powering it back on, but the update just "resumes" after all this.
