is it possible to assign a "fixed" IP address to a virtual machine?

I created a new VM for Oracle and i need to be shure that the IP doesn't change in the future.

How can i assure that the IP address for a VM doesn't get changed by the Parallels DHCP server?

    THX in advance,

I think there are a number of way to do this; I am no expert.

I do it by setting my Network Adapter to bridged to my my hosts adapter then set the desired static IP inside the guest VM.

If you wanna fix IP address in your virtual machine, then you have to configure in your DHCP server and fix the IP address with the MAC address.
