Fn Keys in Mac OS X VM

I'm running a Mac OS X 10.8.4 VM inside a OS X 10.8.4 and I want to use the fn keys as fn keys.
On the Mac itself I can do this in system preferences -> Keyboard -> Check the 'Use all F1...' checkbox.
However this option is not on preferences in the VM.

Is there anyway I can do this inside the VM?

It's OK, I've found the problem (how often does that happen!) I had Show Desktop and Show Dashboard mapped to F11 and F12 in Mission Control
