Frozen at Trying to boot from SATA 1

I've installed the latest version of Parallels Desktop 11 (11.1.1 (32312)) on a Mac Book Pro 15" with latest El Captian (10.11.1) and have tried twice now to migrate my Windows 10 PC (which was upgraded from Windows 7) via a USB drive. The migration completes w/o error and then when parallels tries to launch the VM the first screen is Upgrading Windows 10 (not sure why it's upgrading as it was already a Windows 10 install), then after a few minutes that screen goes away and I'm left with a blank screen that hangs at "Trying to boot from SATA drive 1...". I've found KB#113342 which directs using the Bootrec.exe tool in the Windows Recovery Environment to repair a corrupt MBR but that seems to require booting into Windows on the VM which I can't do.

Hi,
please try to mount your virtual Hard Drive using the steps below:

1. Right click on the virtual machine and choose -> show in Finder
2. In Finder please right click on the virtual machine and choose "Show package content"
3. Then please locate the virtual hard drive file, with the .hdd format
4. Right click on the .hdd file and choose "Open with Parallels Mounter"

check the issue and let us know the results please.
 
After performing the above steps I see two volumes on my desktop:

[C] Windows 10
[D] Windows 10

The volume [C] Windows 10 contains:

File: BOOTSEC.BAK
Folder: EFI
- Folder Boot
File: bootx64.efi
- Folder Microsoft
- Folder Boot (with too many files to list)
- Folder Recovery (with too many files to list
Folder: Temp (dated yesterday) w/5 files:
bcdinfo.txt
bootfailure.txt
disklayout.txt
SrtTrail.log
SrtTrail.txt

the volume [D] Windows 10 Contains the full hard disk image from my PC
 
I was able to resolve the issue by enabling EFI boot via the VM Settings --> Hardware --> Boot Order --> Advanced Settings --> Check Use EFI Boot.
