"Get genuiine for Windows 7" fails becauseof missing autorun.dll

I had to buy a new Windows 7 "get genuine "kiy because the old key from the PC did not work on Parallels 8 or 9 on MAC. But it will not install because of error message "The file 'autorun.dll' could not be loaded or is corrupt. Setup cannot continue Error code is [0x7E]." I get a similar but longer message when I try to upgrade MS Office, which I need to do, because Outlook no longer works.
Any advice welcome. (I tried phone and contacts to Paralells for advice, but cannot get through on any of them)
