Getting I/O errors and need to slow down my CD/DVD

Hi all,
Two days trying to install Win7 in OS X Yosemite. Half-way through the install, I get and input/output error and the install halts. Is is possible to tell Parallels to try a slower read/write speed? Possibly from the command line?

Hi Jamesa1,
Please create an ISO image using Windows disc as suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4917 and try to create Virtual Machine using ISO image file on Parallels Desktop.

Hi James,
Try to download the Windows 7 .iso image file from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-recovery and then follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/4729 to install Windows.
