Ready to take the plunge with Parallels, in order to run web CMS that, unfortunately, only works with IE 6 (not 7)

Two questions:

1. Since I want to buy Parallels, should I download the latest GA version and then update to the new build, or can I just start with the new build (3150) and activate through it?

2. When I install XP Pro SP 2b, will updates and upgrades be automatically installed during the Guest OS installation process, or will I be able to pick and choose which updates to 'cancel or allow'?

Just start with the new build, 3150.

You can specify what to install just like with a standard Windows installation process.
