I installed Parallels 6 and have a Win 7 64 bit virtual machine running:
- memory 2 GB
- video card: 256 MB, enable 3D acceleration, enable vertical synchronisation.
I noticed that the graphic card is giving a low Windows index value:most values are between 4.5 to 5.9, only the value for graphic is 2.
I installed the program ArcGIS Explorer (from the ESRI website) and get an error when I'm starting it:
I get following window:
"Internal Graphics Card Error
ArcGIS Explorer detected a serious application error that involved your grpahics adapter:
Adapter: Parallels display adapter (WDDM)
driver: 6.0.11822.0 (2010/09/14)
mode: 961x664x4294967296 colors
Ensure that your graphics card is up to date.
So it seems the quality of the graphics card is not good enough for a 64 bit Windows version.
I have on another Macbook Pro the same program in a Windows XP 32 bit virtuam machine, using Parallels 5 and it works fine.
So how can I resolve this? In your advertising you mention 'improved graphic performance for 64 bit" , but it doesn't work for me
