grid clustering and PWE

however, for the life of me I am completely unable find any "details" on how to setup such a system for rendering.. i have no clue (besides base system requirement for workstation) what is needed software wise, et al.

could someone point me in the right direction, i've been looking around parallels sight for two days now and googling is like, "put forks in my eyes"...
