harddisc disapears from the finder (devices) when Parallels starts windows

Hi all,

For more than one year everything worked fine with Paralles. But suddenly a few weeks ago the following problem started which I just can't solve:
When I start my Mac Pro (Yosemite) the connected external Harddisc is shown in the finder under devices. As soon as Parallels 10 starts Win7 the Harddisc disappears and is only shown in and accessible thru the windows explorer. When I shut down windows7 the Harddisc appears again in the finder.

Is there anybody who can please help me on this topic.

Hello BiG,
This could have happened if the Parallels preferences are set to connect external devices to active Virtual Machines. You can change this option by following the steps from this article. You could also remove the external hard disk from the 'Permanent assignments' list. Let us know how it works.
