I would like to know if this issue with audio device drivers and audio applets has been fixed yet (see link below).
I just bought my first PC since 2004 because of this problem. It is a horrible experience, all over again.
I am a professional C++ dev and must have proper driver access to HAL for audio, which is what this appears to be.
The last conversation I had was that this will never be fix-able (HAL). Is that still true? Has any headway been made here?
If this ever does get fixed, you will get me back as a customer within nanoseconds. Thanks.
