I would like to connect a HDFury x4 (a scaler) to a Windows OS to update it's firmware. I have tried with Windows 7 & 10 with Parallels 15 & 16 to no success. After a reboot of the and a fresh install of the OS on Parallels, I see the device once on the "connect to" dialog and/or in the "devices" drop-down but it quickly disappears as VM boots up and I never see it again.
The device is seen by macOS in System Information, but nowhere else on macOS as there is no driver. When i look at the Device Manager of Windows I see only the input devices and virtual printers.
I have searched the forums for days without finding anything quite like this. The answer from HDFury support was 'find a PC'... I'm hoping that I can get a little more help from this board.
