Help with running Quickbooks under Parallels

I recently began using a Macbook with Parallels in order to run Quickbooks. I've installed a copy of Windows 98, but so far I haven't been able to implement my Quickbooks due to a few bugs. After doing a fresh install of Windows and Quickbooks, I moved my QB file over from my PC to my new VM. I had to change the permissions on the file from read only, but then it opened.

I've so far not been able to create and save PDFs or email PDFs, both of which are essential for me.

For those who use this solution:

Are you able to send email statements?

Are you able to save statements?

What method do you use to transfer files to your accountants since CD burning is not supported?

Maybe using Windows XP will solve my problem? I don't want have to shell out $200 to find out.
 
I am using Quickbooks in Windows XP and PDFs are working just fine. I send my e-mailed invoices through Quickbooks, which uses their servers (and takes the opportunity to spam me frequently for their extra-cost services).

I haven't had to give a file to our accountant yet, but I already back up my QB files to my OS X Desktop, so I'll probably just burn a CD from there. They should be able to read it.
 
Windows 98 is no longer supported by Microsoft. Not sure the latest version(s) of Quickbooks are supposed to work under '98

I updated to Windows XP and it seems to have fixed the problem.

However, it seems that I need to have a printer attached in order to create PDFs or send emails from Quickbooks.

Seems a little strange, but it was working while I was connected to my office LAN/printer but not now that I am connected to no printer.
