Hi - already tried posting this in the 'Mac OS' forum, with no replies!
Please, can someone help me?!
So. I am trying to migrate my old Window XP PC to a new iMac using Parallels.
Installed the transporter on the PC, and Parallels on the Mac. We the Mac detects the PC I get a 'The computer "PC" requires authentication': Name; Password.
I've tried using the 'Windows user' login name, and password, and Im told 'You entered and invalid name or password'.
Now this is perfectly valid on the Windows PC - its what I log in with!!! Equally, I have gone to user accounts and tried changing the name and password there, and none of the combination I have tried have altered what happens.
The odd thing is that I have got past this stage for migrating one of the other login-ins, without any difficulty.
My question is then, where do I 'get' the 'Name' and 'Password' that Parallels wants, from the PC? Under Control panel/system, the 'computer name' is simply 'PC', which I have tried as well.
Help, !!!
Many thanks,
Damian
