    Hi,
Is it possible to access a Linux VM from my Mac when using shared network? It works with bridged and host only, just doesn't seem to work when in shared mode. When SSH'ing, it times out.

    thanks!

Hi, it is not possible to access a Linux VM from Mac when using shared network, because
When this networking mode is used Parallels Desktop will work as a virtual router for your virtual machine. As a result:
    • Parallels Desktop creates a separate virtual subnet with its own virtual DHCP server running in macOS.
    • A virtual machine belongs to that virtual subnet with its own IP range.
    • A virtual machine is not visible in the real subnet the Mac belongs to.
Kindly Visit to this KB article to know more about the Network modes in Parallels Desktop for Mac. Please reach us back for any further queries.
