I see that by default Parallels gives the VM 1 core and 1 gig of RAM. Just wondering does my host OS regain these resources when I have Parallels suspended or do I need to completely shut it down?

Actually, let me refine this question: what is the difference between pausing and suspending in regards to CPU and memory? Will one or the other release these resources back to the host OS??
