Inside most of my VM disk file directories, there are host application shortcuts and exe files present. They seem to be accessed by the VM, and Avast anti-virus Auto-Sandbox feature on the VM reports them being accessed. I can't seem to figure out how to get right of the host app shortcuts and exes. If I simply delete them and restart the VM, they come back. How do I get rid of them permanently from being accessed by the VM?

Never mind. Finally found it here in the documentation (see attachment).

That's great that you have figured out yourself
