Hot corners and Windows 8.1 upgrade problems

Hi, I have a couple of problems with Parallels / Windows I was wondering if anyone can help with.

1. I tried everything I can to disable Mac Hot Corners whilst in full screen in Windows in Parallels. I tried different combinations of unticking and ticking boxes in the settings for full screen in the Parallels configuration. However, nothing makes any difference. The Mac Hot Corners / Menu bar remain active whatever the setting is (i.e. whether, for example, the "Use Mac OS X Full Screen" is ticked or not etc.). The only thing that works is disabling the hot corners in the Mac settings. However, I really use the corners in Mac so this is not a preferable option.

2. I am unable to upgrade to Windows 8.1. It goes to 50% upgrade and then stops. It gives me the Error code:0x80240031. Now, I called Microsoft and they tried different things, but that didn't work. Of course, I was an idiot and told them that I am using Parallels and they immediately jumped on it as the cause, which is bullshit as I have another machine which upgraded just fine. So, not really sure what the solution is, is there a disc image for W8.1. I had a look around but was unable to find anything.

Edit: OK, found the way to get W8.1 disc image: http://howto.cnet.com/8301-11310_39...nload-the-official-microsoft-windows-8.1-iso/

Do you guys have any ideas about the corners? Thanks

Hi PredragM,

To disable active screen corners while running Windows Virtual Machine in Full screen mode, Please follow these steps :

1. Start Parallels Desktop. Do not start your Virtual Machine or shut it down if it is running.

2. Go to your Virtual Machine's Configuration (http://kb.parallels.com/117287) > Click on Options.

3. Select Full screen and un-check "Active Screen corners".

Thanks,

Manoj
