How can i connect to the internet

i have installed windows Xp on my virtual computer and trying to access the internet using wireless connection but nothing seem to work. I am using a dlink 2100 AP+ access point to access the internet.
i have set my
IP address to: 192.168.0.100
my subnet mask to: 255.255.255.0

the IP for my access point is: 168.192.0.50. ping from the guest computer always fails while ping from the host computer always works. In the configuration editor the bridged internet is selected and my network adapter is also selected. so what am i doing wrong and am i able to connect to the interent at all??

i have windows Xp pro on both. my guest nic is set to 192.168.0.100 my host nic is set to 192.168.0.101. switched them around to see if the IP has anything to do with it. i always can ping the access point from the Host but not from the guest. I can ping the host nic from the guest computer but nothing else. any idea on what is going on??

In Parallels preferences (edit menu), under the network tab, what are the three addresses there?

If the mask and start addresses are in the range 10.37.129 then install parallels tools in the guest VM so that the guest nic has a 10.37.129.x ip.

the parallels tools are already installed on my guest computer and i have the range from 10.37.129.1 to 10.37.129.254 with scope mask 255.255.255.0.
