How do you use Virtual Machine with Boot Camp?

I found this link from the Parallels website while on a google search:

It says that Parallels can still launch the Windows operating system from the Boot Camp Partition. This would be ideal for me because I have a laptop and I occasionally just need something quick from Windows, but the battery doesn't last long enough for extended Windows use.

Is there any way that I can take my current VM used by Parallels and move it onto a Boot Camp Partition and use it as described by the above link? If so, how would I do this? I would like to avoid freshly installing Windows into Boot Camp and then linking it to Parallels simply because I'd have to reconfigure Windows to the way I like it.

Specs:
Macbook Pro running OSX 10.6.1
Parallels Desktop 4.0.3846
Windows XP

Hello TravisC,

Unfortunately it is one way traffic from Boot camp to Parallels. But you will not be able to put the virtual machine running under Parallels to bootcamp.

You will not be able to install the virtual Windows into a actual hardware.

You need to install Windows in bootcamp and then it can be linked t Parallels.

Can't access my bootcamp

I have an iMac & had OS10.5 & Win XP on bootcamp. Ran my bootcamp as a vm through P3.0
No problems!
I upgraded to OS10.6, so I had to get P4.0
P4.0 could not recognize & update my VM.
How do I get P4.0 to recognize boot camp?
