How long does it take to install Windows 10?

I have just purchased the Parallels 15 and a licence for Windows 10. I downloaded the iso file for Windows but it has so far taken over 7 hours, having followed all the prompts on the installation set up for Parallels to begin the OS installation, with the spinning icon going nowhere. How long is this meant to take? Downloading the iso only took 15 minutes. Is this right or have I done something wrong somewhere?

Hi, did you try to restart your Mac and check the issue again?
And what is the size of your .iso file?
 
Hello, thanks for responding. I discovered that it's the Parallels tools not loading in Windows 10 with the installation assistant. Managed to select the manual option and complete it successfully. Now my problem is that I can't activate Windows because it's already activated on another machine even though it shows the correct serial number from my purchase.
