How to Activate Start8 (Apparently Bundled with Desktop 9)

I want a way to get Windows 7 functionality to my Windows 8 desktop machine.

I discovered Start8 from Stardock today and was surprised to learn that it is apparently bundled with Parallels Desktop 9. See this press release from Sept 2013:

There's nothing in the Parallels documentation about how to activate this.

Does anyone know how?
