How to add additional RAM to VM

Hi. I originally downloaded a trial of Parallels and setup XP with 144 MB ram when I only had 512 MB physical RAM. I have since upgraded my RAM to 2GB and have purchased a license for Parallels. YIPEE!

I find that if I bump the RAM for the VM to anything higher than the original 144MB, Win XP ccrraawwwwlllllllls. It runs well when dropped back down to 144MB. How can I add additional RAM to the VM without recreating the VM?

When you first start up Parallels and select your Guest
you can edit the guest (builds 1970 and lower) in new betas the guest comes up looking like text list, but you can click on the word "memory" and it will bring up the memory config for that VM
 
There are two places to set memory allocation. One is in Parallels preferences, where you set a limit for the application including all simultaneously running VMs, and another on a per Vm basis in each VM. The global limit should be about 100 MB larger than the amount used by concurrent VMs.
