How to disable automatic suspend

I constantly switch back and forth between Mac and Win OS and after a few minutes of not using it, the VM goes automatically into suspend mode.

Is there any way to either disable or modify this paramenter?

assuming you are on windows 7 go to control panel->energy options and select energy plan other than "Parallels plan"
