How to downgrade to previous update/version?

I let parallels install its latest update to my iMac this morning
Version 12.1.3 (41532)
Sadly when I run an Ubuntu VM I use for large builds it said I had to dial back the number of cores from 8 to 4 and the memory size from 16 to 8 GB, unless I want to "Purchase Parallels for Mac Desktop Pro edition" which is a horrible thing to do to a customer without warning... And then trying to extort $50 for an "upgrade" back to the original functionality?

So please tell me how to go back to the prior version which did not have these new limitations imposed upon it?
Note to Parallels business team on this sort of practice: If I purchase a new product to get his support back it will not be from Parallels... Not cool!
