How to fix QuickBooks error 1603

    QuickBooks error 1603 generally occurs when there has been an issue in the update process of the QB software and the update installer might have encountered internal damage. The resolution for this issue can be achieved when you reinstall the QBDT extension file in the windows after uninstalling it. To continue with the process, just take a look at these given steps:

    · Press Windows and R key together to open the dialog box for giving the run command

    · Go to control panel> Programs and Features>QuickBooks>Uninstall

    · Download the QB clean extension tool and reinstall QuickBooks using this tool.

    1. Press Windows + R and Run command.
    2. Type it in Control Panel, then select OK.
    3. Click on Programs and Features.
    4. In the list of programs, click on QuickBooks, then select Uninstall/Change.
    5. Follow the prompts to complete the process

    Would it be more effective to just restore the most recent backup of the .pvm prior to the error occurring?
    My experience with Quickbooks Support is if you reveal you are running under Parallels, they will not assist because they do not support/recommend that.
