How to Migrate a Windows PC to Parallels 10

Hey guys,
So I am reading this link here -> http://kb.parallels.com/en/115007
The task I am trying to accomplish is to put my school laptop's Windows PC on to my Mac's Parrallels 10.
My school laptop has programs that I need to have for classes like MS Project, photoshop, etc..

My question is, Is the link above the proper way to go about getting my school Windows PC on to my Mac Parallels or is there a better way of doing it.
