How to set "default" VM for Windows files to open in?

Parallels Version: 10.2.0 (28956)
This just started happening for some reason, but when I double-click a Windows executable it starts booting up my WindowsXP virtual machine and launches it there, even though my Windows7 virtual machine is already up and running. How do I make all Windows files open in my Win7 virtual?

Hello FeistJ,
Please follow the steps suggested at http://kb.parallels.com/114124 to set default applications to open up either with Windows XP or with Windows 7 and let us know how it works.
