I am doing Windows Software Development on Parallels for Mac OS. I need to simulate a very slow machine, e.g. Intel Atom 1.6 GHz with slow memory and HDD. How can I do this?
In Pro edition of Parallels Desktop VM Config > Options > Optimization page has a slider that limits vCPU and disk I/O performance. Due to various reasons the limits are not exactly quantitative, but at least that's something to try.
