I'm using the latest version of Parallels 8 on a Mac with OS X 10.8.4.
I have two virtual machines installed - Windows 8 and Windows XP. However, I have not found yet a method to reliably start only one virtual machine at a time. When I double click one of the pvm files sometimes only that specific virtual machine starts, but more often both start. When I just start the Parallels Desktop application I sometimes get presented with a selection window where I can select the virtual machine that I want to start but more often Parallels Desktop starts one of the virtual machines on its own.
How can I make it happen, that always only one virtual machine (the one I want to use at that time) starts?
