I have reset my computer and the code can not be used

I bought the code half a year ago, and couple of days earlier I have reset my computer, that means all of the documents and system are brand new now.
I have found the activate code in my email but it says 'I have entered an upgrade key. please confirm it from a key from previous version'.
The original email I have got in Chinese version, so I can not post it here, but if you need, I could provide it.

Thank you, and I have already fixed this. I have contacted the seller who I bought from, then he gave me an old version code, it finally works.
