I upgraded to Parallels Desktop 11 & cannot access my activation key for the previous version.

I just switched from Snow Leopard to El Capitan and in the process have lost my ability to open my copy of Parallels. I purchased the upgrade package to Parallels 11 but because the prior version of Parallels no longer registers on my computer and cannot be opened, I have no access to that key. What should I do?

Hi, please provide us with your email address which has been used for purchasing and registration of your previous license key.

Is there a way I can share my email address without posting it to this public forum?
By the way, I don't think I ever registered my prior version because I didn't have Windows on this computer - it's part of the upgrades I'm making. Parallels came with my computer when I bought it. But I know the email address I had at the time that I purchased the computer.
 
I just purchased iMac 27 and parallels desktop 11 for mac and the activation key cannot be used with parallels desktop build 12.0.1. What's wrong?

We can see that you are trying to activate Parallels Desktop 12 using Parallels Desktop 11 key. Kindly download Parallels desktop 11 and activate it using the key.
